Let’s talk about hair

Hello peeps 🙂

When it comes to hair there is an enormous variety of haircare products, hair routines, hairstyles, etc for each one of us. And that is absolutely normal because everyone’s hair is different. Mine might be blonde, yours red, mine might be thick, yours thin, mine might be short, yours long. Anyway, you get the point. So I have decided to talk you throughout my entire hair ” stuff “. I’m gonna tell you some bits about its history, colour, haircare and hairstyles. I won’t get too much into details because I’m gonna do, at some point, some much more detailed posts about every single topic about my hair.

Speaking about haircare, I have a very strict routine. I’ve tried a lot of products in the past but now I can finally say that I ‘ve found the perfect combo. My hair is thin hair, but I have a lot of it. And it is that kind of hair that gets greasy after 2 days without washing it. So it can be quite hard to deal with but I am learning to handle it at the moment. For shampoo I use the Pantene Pro V Repair&Care Shampoo. I just love this . It has a great formulation because it is soo smooth but also soo foamy, it smells incredible and the most important thing, it does the job. Even if you skip a day or two of washing your hair and it gets like really greasy it is enough if you shampoo it once. I can assure you that it will be enough.

Conditioner wise, I tend to go for the same brand, Pantene, Pro V Repair&Protect or sometimes I do buy the Colour Protect&Volume one. If you liked the shampoo wait until you try the conditioner. The formulation feels soo hydrating and nourishing but without leaving your hair feeling full of product. You only need to leave it on for about 2-3 minutes and you’ll be amazed. I have to admit that I don’t use it every single time I wash my hair just because I don’t always have the time to do it ( or I’m lazy) but I do feel like my hair thanks me everytime I make the effort.

When it comes to treatments I just don’t know. I have tried so many kinds of treatments for my hair but I can’t say I’ve been too impressed. I am more of a girl that likes to go for a handmade treatment. So when I have enough time and patience I take 2-4 spoons of hard coconut oil and melt it in the microwave. After that I put in the same bowl 1 spoon of olive oil, the juice from half a lemon and some conditioner. I mix it all together and then I pour it on my hair leaving it there for as long as I can . Usually about 1 hour. I recommend you to wrap your hair in a towel because being a melted mix it can glide down your neck and leave stains on everything you get in contact with. After 1 hour I wash it off with hot water and shampoo. This combination work miracles for me. Especially because I have 80% blonde hair I need something that can leave my hair as shiny as possible. So for the moment this is my ” go to ” treatment.

As I said I now have blonde balayage hair. But my hair history goes way back. I am naturally a brown hair type of girl but I think I inherited  my mother by getting bored soo fast of my look. I always wanted to make a change. Until now I’ve had red, black, light brown, entire blonde, ombre and now balayage hair. I know, I know, my poor hair. I’m aware of the damages my ideas have made but I already started to take a lot more care of my hair and it looks better. One piece of advice I can give you is to take care of your hair because like the quote says, your hair is the crown you never take off. Even if you want to make a change be sure you have a hairdresser to do it. Don’t chose your hair salon randomly. Trust me. Been there, done that. I am only 20 years old and I have changed my hair colour multiple times and it is not good. Especially because I didn’t do it properly. But what is done is done and I can’t do anything about it now, just to make sure I warned you.

Moving further to hairstyles , when I was younger ( i’ve made so many hair mistakes) I used to straighten my hair everyday. Another bad idea. But now I only style my hair sometimes.  I usually blow dry it and leave it like that because it looks alright most of the time. But when I have a typical ” bad hair ” day I even straighten it ( the straightener I am using is a Vallera Profesisonal Plus ), curl it very loosely ( the wand I am using is a Babyliss Pro Titanium Tourmaline ) or have it in a ponytail, just in case I have to hurry or I am really late. I don’t really have the time now to make something with my hair every morning even if I would like to make much more of an effort.

Because I am trying not to ramble for too long I am going to end this here. I am going to make an appointment with my hairdresser this month so keep an eye on the blog for a hair colour update. So this is it peeps, this is the shortest story of my hair. I just wanted to be on point. I’m leaving the details for individual posts just  because you might not be interested in the hairstyles I do but you wanna know more about hair routine, or something like that. You know? I think you get what I’m trying to say. Quick reminder. I do not own all the photos and also this is not a paid post, it is just my personal opinion. Feel free to comment down bellow if you would like me to do a much detailed hair routine, hair history or a hairstyle look. I would be happy to do it for you.
