Hello there everyone,

So it is that time again when I run you through the bits and pieces I loved and used lately. I have to be honest, I don’t usually try new makeup or  beauty products that often, because I am tempted to go for those I already know and love. But I decided that 2018 will be a year full of new things. That is why, during these first 2 months of the year I have been trying some new makeup and other sutff. And I was actually really impressed to see that I love most of them. I’ve been accumulating some beauty/random favorites I actually use now on a daily basis. So grab a snack, get cozy and let’s get started.

Makeup wise :

  1. Rimmel Lasting Finish – 100 Ivory

I am going to start with foundation and work my way up as I would do in a normal makeup routine. This one is not new to me. But I rediscovered it again this year. This has been a favorite of mine for a long old time and the reason I love it it’s because it blends really well, gives a very good coverage and stays in place for at least 8 hours. The only thing I might say, though, is that there is not quite as big of a variety when it comes to shades as I would like it to be. So it might be a little difficult to find that ” perfect ” shade you wish for. No worries,  you can work with some powder or bronzer and adjust it to match your skin tone.

2. Rimmel Wake me up – 01 Fair

Next thing on my list is another old friend of mine. This is not new either, it is just an old flame. Whenever I need something to make me look alive again, I’ll reach for this little one. It is buildable, it has the perfect shade for an under the eyes concealer, very affordable and has a great consistency. One thing I’m not really pleased with, is the fact that after aprox. 4 hours it needs a re-touch. But it is a drugstore concealer after all and it does the job really well.

3. Maxfactor All day concelear – Fair

Another concealer wich recently became a love of mine is actually a Maxfactor one. I never really try Maxfactor makeup but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Compared with the previous one, it has a much more heavy coverage, wich makes it ideal for blemishes and spots. The consistency is great, it is buildable but still looks quite natural on the skin. Be aware, though, that it doesn’t really last too much in terms of how much product you get, but other than that I give this one a really big thumbs up.

4. Rimmel Radiance Brick

For bronzing and contouring I was using my Nyx palette ever since I got it last Christmas. I know, it was a pretty long time ago. And I still got it, so that’s great. But I am not talking about that right now. I had to try something new and because I needed something affordable, I went for this one. I know it is still early for a shimmery look but as the sun began to shine a little bit more, I started craving a good old godess look. And this really does the job. It is very pigmented with just a hint of shimmer, a section of highlight, wich will make you glow even more and a natural bronzy color. One thing I feel should warn you, is the fact that this powder is a little bit difficult to blend. But for me really, it is not that much of a problem. Just make sure you keep your brush under control when you’re applying this and you’re good to go.

5. Real Techniques highlighter brush

Speaking of brushes… The one I have been loving recently for applying my highlight is this one from the classic collection. I am obsessed with Real Technique brushes and I have been mentioning about them before. But this one, in particular, stud up for me in the past few months. Because of the shape, it is very easy to use and to place the product just were it is supposed to be, leaving your cheeks with a natural glow.

6. Barry M Strobe – Iced Bronze 2

And because you need a highlight to go with your brush, next thing on my list is this lighting strobe. Never used a strobe before so I was quite nervous when I got to use it. I had nothing to worry about, it is amazing. I don’t use the brush to apply this one because I found that it is much more easy to do it with the warmth of your finger. However, I use the brush to blend it out and on the days I feel more adventurous, I even set it in place with a powder highlight as well. Neither less to say the effect it gives to your cheeks.

7. Rimmel Lash Sensational

Moving on to the eyes, this mascara has been in my favorites ever since I have this blog and long before that. But I use it without fail every single day so I though that it was worth mentioning again. Just in  case I haven’t sold it to you already. The version I am using is the extra black one, wich, if you don’t like clumpy, thick mascaras you’ll probably hate it. But I love it. I struggle with really short eyelashes and anything that can make them look as big and voluminous as they can be, is a winner to me. Very affordable, long lasting, intense color and a really well shaped wand.

8. Maybelline lipstick- 983 Beige babe

And the last touch is obviously lipstick. Even if I was crazy about the matte liquid lipsticks in 2017, now I rediscovered the love for normal lipsticks, matte or creamy. And because it is spring, I tend to go a lot more for lighter shades like nudes, pinks and peachys. This one in particular I reach for the most. It has a matte finish with a gorgeous pinky nude tone and a formula that just stays in place for hours and hours without smudging. What more can I wish for? My go to on an everyday basis.

On to the more random stuff…

1. Hair care

I won’t speak in depth about these products because I have a hair update post coming your way very soon. But I thought they were worth mentioning them in this post because they were my holy grail throughout the winter season. I have bleached hair so it can be a real struggle to handle that. But this combination works like a charm to me, considering I have an oily scalp as well. Much more information in the next post. Stay around.

Products :

  • Syoss Keratin Heat protection
  • Syoss hair treatment
  • Serri oil
  • Garnier Botanic Therapy shampoo
  • Loncolor Expert Intensive Color Protect

2. Bath bombs

Another thing I am still obsessed with at the  moment are bath bombs. Why on earth I never used these before? They are fabulous. I get excited every time I have a free night and I can pop one of these in the bath, getting all cozy and relaxed (of course I shower everyday). I tried the Lush ones, wich let me tell you, are my no.1 faves but where I live we can’t get hold of them. Anyway, there are these ones in Marionnaud and they are pretty much the same thing. The smell is amazing, not so intense but it does the job. The water get really smoth and pretty colored, and there is a decent variety of them. So I will for sure live in baths for a long period.

3. Emporio Armani – Because it’s you

I find myself looking for a new scent every time a season changes and that usually makes life really hard. But this Christmas I received this fragrance from my boyfriend and let me tell you, it was the perfect gift. I am in love with the smell. It is something I don’t think I will ever get enough of. Lasts really long time on the skin and even on the clothes. I am going to leave you a link with a much professional description than the one I could ever give you. If you are like me and you like sweet perfumes for that moments when you feel a little more classy you should definitely check this one out.

4. Lenor Parfumelle – Ocean escape

And the last but by no means least is probably the most random item and that is my clothes conditioner. I bloody love my laundry. And I am part of that small group of females that loves anything laundry related. Recently I watched a vlog of Sprinkle of Glitter wich is my absolute laundry inspiration. I saw her mentioning this brand, more specifically this range, and decided to give it a go. The smell I picked up is  a much more fresher one but let me tell you, I am obsessed. It lasts really long, the smell is so intense, you need to use just a little bit and it very affordable. Best one I tried so far.
